The Cliffs of Tecsecocha, Ccorca

The Cliffs of Tecsecocha is a geological formation located in the district of Ccorca in the province of Cusco. It stands out for its beauty, majesty and the presence of cave paintings which tell us the history of the ancient Andean man in this place.

Making a parenthesis about its location, Ccorca is one of the eight districts of the province of Cusco, located to the southwest and about 23.7 kilometres from the capital city.

It is a surprise that this district is little known by many people (including the citizens of Cusco) because, unlike the other districts of the province, this one is not adjoined to the city. I’m afraid to say that it was also unknown to me for over 30 years.
