Suncco Waterfall – San Jerónimo

Suncco Waterfall – San Jerónimo

Suncco Waterfall is located in San Jerónimo, Cusco, a beautiful place surrounded by abundant vegetation, pure air and a unique sensation of disconnection.

We departed from the square of Chimpahuaylla in San Jeronimo. Fortunately, we were lucky to find a minibus that took us there as we left home almost at three in the afternoon and were told that the last buses leave between three and four. We have never been there before, as many of the other previous adventures we had had.

On the road, we were surprised by its beauty and the sensation of going to an unknown place. Once we stopped, we got off the car and went directly to the first small waterfall that stood out on the road. Then we were told by the locals to follow the walking road connected to this first waterfall to get onto the main one. We followed it and after some minutes arrived at Suncco Waterfall.

I’d just come out of a COVID-19 picture and was tempted to take a bath, as I always like doing, but I had to be conscious of the consequences of what my decisions may carry, so decided to take off my shoes and feel the water and mud around, take the time to thank life for the opportunity to enjoy that moment.

With lots of pictures, we ventured ourselves beyond this place and arrived at a quiet and breathtaking landscape where we rest and spend the last few minutes left before leaving
