Huchuy Qosqo, Cusco

Huchuy Qosqo, Cusco

Huchuy Qosqo, Quechua words that mean ‘Little Cusco’ is an archaeological site at 3650 m.a.s.l. north of Cusco, overlooking the Sacred Valley. There, one is taken aback by its beauty and its breathtaking view and is also able to observe Incan buildings with perfectly executed stonework, pretty typical of our ancestors.

We left relatively early from Cusco, arrived at Lamay and started our adventure. The way up is almost vertical and really tough, but unique and challenging. It took us three hours to get to the summit. Once being there one is able to appreciate the hard work compensated by this magic place.
