Archaelogical Site Tipón, Cusco

Tipón is an archaeological Incan site between 3250 and 3960 m.a.s.l. What really calls anybody’s attention here is the irrigation system based on canals, fountains and stonework with water falls that shows that Incas had a unique hydraulic technology and were experienced engineers.

We left for Tipón one rainy Sunday by the afternoon. We almost didn’t get in because we arrived at four in the afternoon, the same time it was supposed to close. The guard took pity on us and allowed us to visit the place for a half hour. It had been a long time since we hadn’t been here.

We enjoyed every step as we decided to walk on bare feet around the place and enjoyed the place even it was raining. After a while, we were called to leave.
